Success story
The first major event in 2021. The first football European Championship in more than 10 countries, posing new challenges for all participating teams as well as the organizers. Stagehands was challenged by two clients from Germany to assist in all stadiums, setting up commentator positions, and setting up lighting and sound equipment.
With a European-wide network of local service providers, Stagehands was able to provide local crews in each stadium, thus avoiding additional travel or accommodation costs.
Difficult accreditation requirements were also easily implemented through a dedicated contact person at Stagehands and their experience in communicating and navigating the legal requirements of the participating countries.
Success story
For the first time, the Summer Olympics were postponed for a year outside the usual 4-year cycle due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the pandemic, they largely took place without spectators and athletes’ families. Only a few volunteers from abroad were allowed. The challenge after the event was postponed was implementing it under the strictest hygiene requirements. Stagehands was deployed here for a globally operating “AAA” supplier in the areas of transport, logistics, and on-site communication.
A translator was provided at each sports venue to facilitate communication between the location, the IOC, and our client bilingually. A transport service was organized to pick up employees from the airport and transport them directly to their accommodations under applicable regulations. In addition, an H&S Matrix was created to ensure that all employees received and could adhere to safety-related documents for each sports venue.
The developed H&S Matrix can easily be used for other events with our client. Here, too, it has been shown that Stagehands’ experience in intercultural communication is beneficial due to language and cultural barriers.
Success story
The company Messe München is one of the global players in the trade fair industry. They not only have many years of experience in the trade fair and congress business as well as broad expertise but also operate one of the most modern exhibition grounds in the world. The challenge for Messe München included integrating service services into the existing processes of hall inspection to ensure safe and smooth operations.
As a service partner of Messe München, we supported Messe München with a qualified team. The tasks included implementing all safety requirements to ensure the respective hall operation. In addition, the technical requirements of the service providers for setups and dismantling were organized.
As a result, Messe München was able to expand its capacity for service and safety in hall inspection, thus ensuring high capacity utilization of the trade fair operation. Stagehands is a service partner of Messe München and offers comprehensive/qualified service services for the trade fair business.
